Unlike a lot of the politicians of his era, he seemed to try incredibly hard to avoid kids, which surely counts in his favour? Lovely head of hair as well.

Probably the first sex scandal I can remember involving an MP when I was younger, I remember there being such a fuss when he got Sara Keays pregnant.

The media still aren't allowed to discuss the child in much detail. And Sara Keays is also subject to some sort of gagging order, so she's not been able to put her story, or obtain assistance for the child growing up. CSA didn't exist.
