Celtic Thread - 2021/22

Interesting report and article on bbc. on how little money has been spent to turn the club round. Manager obviously knows Asian football well.
We got Kyogo, Hatate, Maeda and Gucci for under £10m. We also got O'Reilly for £1.5m too. I am writing this sporting a Dick Turpin mask. Expecting tje Rozzers crashing in an arresting me for supporting blatant and flagrant theft.

Celtic were unstoppable in the first half and their movement and passing was just too quick and too precise for Rangers, should have scored more.

The only thing that should be a concern for Celtic is that the energy levels dropped in the second half, and even the substitutions did little to reverse that trend. That's not the first time. Makes no difference if the game is won in the first half, of course, but if Celtic go hammer and tongs yet fail to score, then teams might just be able to hold them through the second half. Nonetheless, the pressure is now on Rangers.
Noticed that last week against Hearts.Players were cramping up in the second half.
No way it was going to affect the result last night but it was a close call against Hearts.

If I was to try & temper Magicpole in any way, and he is rightfully giddy, is that under all this fantastic football, better manager than Rodgers etc, is to have a look at actual results.

We are used to Celtic (& Rangers) raking up wins. Many times its with 2, 3, 4 goal margins, sometimes more at home. That was the norm. But for all the platitudes that Angeball rightly gets, bar last night of course, the results aren't really showing that just yet, there's a lot of narrow victories still.

Those will likely come as the team gets more used to each other and players return, but I just wouldn't jump the gun too early.

Job done although we made it difficult for ourselves with missing a few great chances and losing two shitty goals.

I actually think we are doing this to fuck with the minds of our dearest and warmest friends across the city. Like this guy. :)

Away to Hearts home to Glesgalona and away to Aberdeen. 9 points. How do you like them apples?

PENALTY APPEAL
Celtic 1-0 Raith Rovers

A big shout for a penalty from the visitors as Cameron Carter-Vickers stoops to control with his chest and it looks to strike his upper arm after a downward header by Rovers defender Reghan Tumilty.

Lucky escape for the American centre-half.

Yet another honest mistake by the mason in the black that benefits fat Ange's gang
