If we are looking to but an international defender of one of the top international teams like Umtiti for France we are going to have to pay top dollar.
I actually think the money quoted in Umtiti’s buyout looks decent.
No way do Barca sell in January though.
That’s sounds like Pep has been on the phone to him.
If so it looks like we are looking in the quality range needed.

Hopefully not, whenever I've seen Barca he's looked bloody awful. They have a crap defence bailed out by the amazing players in front of them, and the fact that apart from about 4 or 5 games a season no teams attack them or are given the chance to. No better than Mangala in my opinion. Rather stick with Ota and Stones.

Decent is what Barcelona paid to buy him. €25 million
What Leicester paid for Maguire 17 Million is decent.
We are not desperate now to buy regardless of the cost

Barca have one of the best defenses in Europe, they've conceded the fewest goals in La Liga. Umtiti would be a fantastic signing, left footed too

Umtiti is absolutely wank.
I suggest we look at a loan rather than a buy and sort things properly in the summer.
As it goes, I like Tarkowski (Burnley) and although I think he’s a **** there’s no way David Luiz wouldn’t be absolutely immense in our side. Suits us to a fucking tee and can also play CDM so ticks two boxes.

Yeh, hope so. Is any CB of quality willing to be back up for the rest of this season though? then maybe coming into the first team next season etc.

If they perform outstandingly they will likely get a first team spot.
We shouldn’t necessarily think Stones and Otamendi is the first choice pairing.
Every position on the pitch should be up for grabs.

Oh yh 100%. More than likely for now though they'd take 3rd choice CB role. Gives them more incentive to perform well when they come in, which is always good.
