Barcelona centre-back, Gerard Pique was recently caught by TVE cameras informing Spanish national team manager that his teammate and boyhood friend, Cesc Fabregas as secured a transfer from Barcelona for €33 million, but did not reveal which team the 26-year-old will play for.
Prior to Wednesday’s press conference featuring Manchester United’s Juan Mata and Gerard Pique, Spanish television cameras caught a pre-press conversations between Pique and Del Bosque, in which the defender stated that,”Cesc has told me it’s a done deal, 33 million.”
The conversation was recorded without either of the men’s knowledge before Pique spoke about how Cesc wasn’t valued during his time at Barcelona.
“I don’t know what he’s going to do, we haven’t talked about it. I hope he stays, because seeing his stats this past year he’s the midfielder who’s scored the most goals and given the most assists. Clearly I want him to continue with us.
“I love Cesc so much, I know he’s having a difficult time because the club doesn’t value him as much as he deserves.
“Cesc has never been sufficiently evaluated at Barcelona. He would work well at any club in the world and would be basic and fundamental piece, but the club is very complicated and it’s demanding.”
The conversation between Del Bosque and Pique did not reveal which team Fabregas will play for, but it is almost certain that he will return to England with Chelsea being the leaders, according to reports.
