@Pudge, never claimed to be ITK, I know a lad who used to work at Chelsea and now at another premier league club. Made a bold claim on Rooney and was found correct.

In regards to Garcia, I can safely assume we have definitely granted Rodwell for sale and sided with Garcia as he's fit more than Jack. They are on similar wages I have read, makes sense but Garcia is still not good enough.

@Oakie, Caballero from Malaga seems to be the name linked. Good keeper, 32-33 I think, played for Pellegrini and knows the systems favoured. Cost 3m ish, Benatia 30m. Leaves 16m plus whatever we revieve for Milner and Richards (reported fee assumptions) regardless of Sinclair and Barry fees(2-3+2-5m for Barry as part of loan deal contract) So we can assume a further 15m min, 20m for all. That funds Fabregas. Selling Rodwell (I actually want him to stay fit and I think he will force attention and aim to earn a place) will give us more money too.

The key now is seperate the wheat from the gaff over the next 2 windows. Give places to promoted youth and from next summer target only target upgrade + natural turnover of players with 2-3 a season. Spends fall on a net basis as we will be receiving good money for any players we sell and we have unfortuante off casts of academy to add to coffers.

I would be very very surprised if we let Milner go before next season ends.

Saying things like "Milner is being sold, as we know" would understandably lead someone to think you're claiming "higher status".

As I said, saying signing Fabregas is "common sense" when it in fact, in your own opinion, would be dependent on numerous scenarios taking place then it isn't so tbf.

Caballero would cost more than £3m, we would only receive a fee for Barry if he went to Everton and once again you're going on the assumption Milner will be sold when it's not clear at all if he will be. Coupled with other teams knowing our obvious transfer restrictions then they won't exactly be quick to pay what we want will they?

£30m for Fabregas, £12-15m for Fernando, £30m for Benatia/Mangala, and your £3m for Caballero (I wish) is about £75-78m.

We have a restriction of £49m, so that's £26-29m we need to recoup and your working out leaves us having an additional £20m.

Even with £69m, take away £12-15m for Fernando that's £54-57m, and as has been established a CB is of much, much greater priority and say we were to spend £30m on said CB that leaves £24-27m. So Fabregas for £27m then? Or £24m if you want to factor in your valuation and idea of signing Caballero..

Nevermind the idea that £2m of that fund, as measly as it may sound, is entirely dependent on Barry joining one certain club

Once again you have us down to sell 4 HG players and bring in 1, without working it out I think that might be a no go anyway.

Again, signing Fabregas, before we've even sold a player for additional funds (that would put us in an even bigger hole when negotiating) makes little to no sense; especially as there are more pressing needs to be addressed.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I think he would only arrive of we sell Yaya but timing is important here as Fabregas looks to move within two weeks and the Yaya saga could end only later.

Pointless having Isco and Fabregas in the same team. Isco will come on loan with a view to buy next summer....City got the better player than Chelsea.

To the Isco thread!

Isco occupies the same territory as Nasri and Jovetic. Fabregas is a central midfielder. I don't see your point?

It was a joke.
