This would be a good move for him with his links to the club. They will want him to do well and give him every opportunity.

The 'breakthrough' will be the guarantee of playing time and the release if he isnt getting it.

Wouldn't mind seeing Tommy Doyle out on loan, feels as if he's stalled a little although that may just be me.Doyle,Lavia or Palmer my guess
Get them out on loan at this point, even if they stay at first team almost unlikely they get any minutes apart from first two rounds of Carabao which nothing but two games in September/October. Every other game they will not even make the bench.
Even Delap who did score in Carabao early on and looked like he could get some more chances later on was hyped last season and then he never made another appearence for us after September didnt he? Even with Aguero out almost all year. Now with Kane coming in its almost worse for a youngster to get a run now with possibly Kane, Jesus, Torres, and any false 9 option still front of him.
Will be hardly different for Cole Palmer imo given the many nationals ahead of him in same position.
I prefer 20-30 games for them in Championship against adults where they can fight for playoff maybe or avoiding relegation etc not the nonsense U23 league where where the stake is almost non existent.
What Txiki and his staff has to make sure they choose the right club who will nurture them and give them playing time. Would not mind to send 1-2 more to Anderlecht.

He needs better football,he hasn't pushed on to the degree i predicted/hoped,and i feel thats largely due to the limitations of his current environment.
EDS football is great,but to a degree - top talent needs to be nurtured not held back.

It's entirely dependant on the loan arrangement as there won't be a standard contract used. Some we may waive a loan fee and contribute to the wages, some will be a big (relative) fee plus they pay all of the wages. Good luck on finding much real information on any of the above.
