Are barca not on course for the league?

Barca are on course for the league, hence it is extremely unlikely the CL winner (Juve/Barca) won't win their league, and therefore PSV will leapfrog us into pot 1.

Why PSV and not Ukraine Champions D. Kijev in Pot1?

Why PSV and not Kiev/Shaktar? On the UEFA rankings Ukraine are currently the 8th strongest league

Although club coefficients take into account the most recent season, country coefficients do not; instead they use the stats from the year before. This is to ensure that at the beginning of the season each country knows exactly how many places they will have for Europe at the end of the season, otherwise you might find clubs fighting for the fourth spot etc. but then on the last day of the season lose it anyway because their country dipped in the rankings. At the end of last season Netherlands were in 8th place ahead of Ukraine, so the 8th spot goes to them. Likewise, you should find that regardless of the rankings by the end of next season the Ukrainian winners will get the last spot in pot 1.

Do we know who will be in the potential list of playoff teams that City/United/Arsenal may have to face?

There is usually a high profile casualty at this stage, Napoli went out this season for example.

There is usually a high profile casualty at this stage, Napoli went out this season for example.

Not really as they have to play a round before that to get to playoff round.

Like the second placed teams of Ukraine, Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Greece maybe 3rd of French, and obviously all of smaller countries champions that play a few rounds to get to the playoff round where United would join (and Spain 4th, Germand 4th, italian 3rd etc.).

So it could be anything between Basel, Sahtar, Sporting, AEK Athen, in case they reach the playoff round.

Last season the 5 playoff teams that were not seeded:
Bilbao, Lille, Kobenhavn, Standard L, Besiktas. None of them really any serious CL team.
Basel, Sahtar could be more serious this season, they do have some nice CL experience at least.

With Juve going through tonight we've all but lost our chance of getting into pot 2 due to a non-league winning CL winner.

Now heavily relying on Napoli not to win the EL, since the other options are extremely unlikely.

I agree - so come on Dnipro! Otherwise we have to rely on Leverkusen, Valencia or United losing in the qualifiers.

Only if they win tonight., they would get two points for the win and 1 for qualifying for the final which would take them above us in the seedings

They're losing 1-0 at the moment
