Official UK guidance on entry to "green list" Portugal:

Entry to Portugal is allowed if you are a returning resident. For all other travellers, entry is limited to essential purposes only if you are travelling from:
  • the UK or any other non-EU/EEA country, or
  • an EU/EEA country where the COVID-19 incidence rate exceeds 150 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Essential purposes include travelling to live with immediate family members, or for professional, educational, health or humanitarian reasons.
Due to announce the change this week, to start next week to allow tourists in again from UK

Does anyone know what the rules are around covid testing if it end up being in Portugal?
Do you need to have a test before going and before coming back? Are they free tests?
Need a test the day before you leave & a test before you fly home also. EasyJet & Ryanair both offer 50% off so instead of £240 it comes to £120 for both tests. Can’t use NHS tests must be private

You need a test out and a test before returning.
Circa £100+ each for postal, good luck with them, or £170 - £350 each at private clinics on the govt list of approved clinics.
You cannot use the NHS.
How you will get the pre return test when you are there for a football match is anyone’s guess.
Some airlines are subsidising tests.

I think(not sure) if you go out Friday and can do a rapid test at the airport, and you return Sunday, the same test works for the return. Yes, sounds daft, but I think it’s legit. Rapid tests at Heathrow are around 50-60 quid.
