Dug my old flag out the loft for this trip. Haven't taken it to games for years - what's the best way of attaching it in the ground?

I usually take a few shoelaces from unused shoes to tie up. Works a treat. Then speak to the stewards where it can be placed once inside

Just a word of warning for anyone using an Airalo E-Sim.

It didn't give me Internet access straight away when I landed a SAW Istanbul and I couldn't connect to the airport WiFi because it sends you a code via SMS or email and with no data I couldn't access either.

It was working however when I got up this morning.

It may have been a delay only yesterday and you might not have any issues but I did so just something to keep in mind when wanting to book taxi etc using the app or use Google maps as soon as you land.

How much is a taxi from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. We land at 11pm tomorrow?
And we haven't pre-booked.

We got there late last night and our taxi from SAW to Fatih cost us 700tl. It's miles cheaper using the bus but we'd had a long day travelling and wasn't arsed.

You'll get a text off 3 when you arrive in Turkey... apparently

Haha. Think it's about £3 to Taksim.

Taxi was cheap for the distance covered to be fair.

Finding the people really pleasant and helpful so far. I grew up on midnight express but not sure I'll be watching it again to be honest, you can't be calling them a nation full of pigs

We're staying in uskudar but are in Sirkeci currently to see the blue mosque. Beers v expensive - 8 quid for a 'big' (normal) one! I think sorkeci might be a pricey area though? Not sure where people are heading to later (preferably somewhere that isn't eight quid a pint!)?

Looks like you are definitely in the posh bit. I’m sure @Oldham Exile mentioned it was a couple of £ a pint in Taksim?
