Champions League Final | Who’s NOT going to Istanbul?

Cost is extortionate but the fucking around is putting me off more than anything, 4.5 hour flight, maybe more if you don't go direct

10pm kick off 20km outside Istanbul

Probably watch it in Second City maybe head to Abel Heywood afterward usually a good atmosphere

much the same for me, the flags and hours of work i do for a good atmosphere at etihad & wembley i would love to have created similar for the UCL final.

Extortionate cost though, horrendous flight conditions and waiting, why shift around 35,000n english and italians to the far side of europe.

fairplay to the thousands of blues going, safe journey, bring back the trophy.

Bloody hard one to call. In my twenties/thirties nothing would have stopped me. I could take a hit on my saving, I can't take it with me, but £1000+ for a game of football and that's just for a flight and ticket is insane. You'd think for that price it would be luxury and the best seat in the house but it will be far from it. I must admit if we win it will be one of those I should have done it moments, if we lose it will be thank fuck I stayed at home.

Plastic:)

I stupidly agreed to take the Mrs to P!nk so i won't even get to watch.

I would have been more annoyed if I could have gone to the semi
None of my business mate but seriously could she not go with someone else, one of her family/friends (with you subbing the ticket)? This is potentially a historic night for us blues.
If you go you’ll only be there in body rather than spirit anyway, checking phone every minute etc, and get her wound up for that reason instead…
Worth a try I would say and fair odds she will understand (of course only you know your mrs and how she would react)

I'm not, I think we're making a day of it at home, just me, Mrs and kids, we had everyone round 2 years ago n it got a bit crowded.
We're at the Courteeners the night before so it could be a heavy weekend.

My eldest has just paid £995 for the day trip with city, that's without a ticket. Yes it's absolutely mental for one day but he's got a good job, money on the hip and no ties and I said make yourself some memories before you end up with a thumb on your head.

in a day an age where we claim to be environmentally friendly why are uefa not told that once the final two teams are decided a compromise for neutral stadium is made between the two clubs.

We have shown that we can change venues last minute and even through lockdown conditions. Makes sense all round, are there any city or milan fans that would say "yes istanbul is far better the Munich or paris" ?

Couple of lads who do this sort of contract work think that the club put permissions in for something at academy stadium over the weekend.

On this note, I don’t suppose anybody can be so kind as to provide me a code before the deadline, I of course have supporter number etc. in order to be added to F&F if my wife and I manage to get tickets we’d sort flights (currently have a hotel booked)

Goes without saying I’d be very grateful! As my Dad says ‘you never know your luck in a raffle’ However if not I’m sure something will be done by the club in the city or in and around the stadium which will still be a good option!

Considered how much I'd be willing to spend last week, so when the ticket and flight prices appeared, thought only if I win the lottery. As I don't usually play, there seemed little chance, but then had an idea so bought a lucky dip for last Saturday's lotto.

So now I'm two quid worse off than I was on Friday, so definitely not going!

For the price of just me going, I could upgrade the TV to something more up to date 4k etc ready for every match of next season and that's before I've even considered the tickets for the (almost adult) kids. If it was at Wembley, I'd be thinking twice about potentially £150 a ticket if I couldn't get the £70 ones, and travel there would be relatively cheap.

There's suggestions the 2026 final could be in the USA and with the prices, it may as well be for the average fan of any side.

Waiting to see if get a ticket first. Not going without that so haven’t booked a flight yet. First time not in cup scheme for years as couldn’t make midweek games until the Real Madrid one. Got 11k pts so just have to wait and see.

Have some tickets for the Sports Bar at Freight Island which should be a great atmosphere but have also heard 4thefans are doing something but not released final details.

The sports bar tickets at Freight Island say it doesn’t guarantee you entry or a table? Is that the same tickets you got? Just not sure the point of them if that’s the case unless I’m not reading something quite right!?
