Champions League Final | Who’s NOT going to Istanbul?

Had already booked a few days in London so won't be going. Even if I could go, as someone else has said, the cost of getting there is way too much to justify. Will try to find a pub down there to watch but they will probably be full of Rags cheering on Inter.

Personally, if I could afford it, then I think I would go just to be there. Istanbul is an absolutely smashing city and the Turks are very hospitable, welcoming people.

The touts around Taksim Square trying to get me in to their bistros were hilarious. One got me in first night and then I chose the other side of the street the second night. The rival tout strode across, sat opposite me on the table and asked what I was buying him before joking the other one had stolen his customer.

I’m vegetarian now for health reasons but the chicken shish was terrific:

None of my business mate but seriously could she not go with someone else, one of her family/friends (with you subbing the ticket)? This is potentially a historic night for us blues.
If you go you’ll only be there in body rather than spirit anyway, checking phone every minute etc, and get her wound up for that reason instead…
Worth a try I would say and fair odds she will understand (of course only you know your mrs and how she would react)
Keep his fingers crossed Pink picks up a virus or something.

(Can we wish injury or illness on Pop stars)

I've picked the FA cup over this, the champions league has never hooked me like other competitions. Its too "american" if that makes sense, not slagging off america by the way..

Major heart problems so on medical advice can't attend games any more or even follow City games live !

Every match day is like that episode of The Likely Lads where they don't want to know the score so they can watch the game later !

For both FA Cup Final and CL Final will have to wait till 3 hours after kick off to ensure game definitely over then hopefully celebrate like a kid at Christmas !!

I’ll be in Portsmouth, attending the annual reunion of HMS Manchester. Booked to attend it last year. It’s always the second weekend in June. I’ve got BT app so I’ll watch it. Not very sociable but I don’t care.

I live in Southsea mate and will be going to a boozer to watch it so let me know if you wanna watch the game with another blue

It was a real tough choice for me between the fa cup final and this and I put my eggs in the FA cup basket and lucky for me a few kind people on here helped me out with a ticket for the fa cup.

I’ll be watching us smash inter in the same pub where I watched the semi final.

If I can slip away without being noticed which boozer mate.
The reunion is at the Holiday Inn off Pembroke Rd.

Was all prepared to go on the day trip fully expecting it do be £5-600. The price together with expense of the FA Cup final and the announcement of redundancies at work have made it very difficult. Where’s the best place in Manchester to watch? Travelling down from Morecambe
