Champions League Games 13/14 September '22

Frimpong ran the show (as a second half sub) for Leverkusen in their win over Atlético today.

Bayern was not the better team. We still have too many disjunctions in the offense were we should function better. But we used to be depending on a centre forward and just try to get off that - in spring that probably will be an advantage for us. But - I really liked Bayern's defense today especially Mazraoui (who I thought would be a defensive liability, but he today for sure was not) and Upamecano. So Hernandez and maybe Pavard are injured after tonight and if they are out for some weeks it will get tough - even if De Ligt could have played tonight, too (Nagelsmann thought it was better to take defenders that have played against Lewy more often) and there is still Stanisic. Stanisic should play more often anyways - that he for sure is capable he showed against Mbappe and Coman who he had in his pocket in the last match of Croatia vs France.

All you need to do in the Champions League before Xmas is qualify for the next round. I only watched the first half of your game tonight and you could have been 2 or 3 goals down.

You weren't and won easily in the end.

Beat Inter twice and you can rest easily until Feb/March.

A great game. I thought that Barca were slightly the better side - unlucky that they lost 2-0.

In the USA, we were subjected to Ray Hudson's co-commentary- does this guy ever shut the fuck up? Horribly distracting.
