Wham bazooka off
So when he gets injured as he'll be played every game as ronaldo gets what he wants .....what happens next to the great utd side that has beaten a Steve Bruce side and currently playing erm young boys ....Will they rely on another older player in cavani! We should have signed him. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it's glaringly obvious he's going to score s**t loads and he could have been doing that for us. Ludicrous that we didn't sign him because of past allegiances and a misguided sense of "principles".
Our heart wasn't in it. And we should moved heaven and earth to bring him in; he's arguably the greatest goalscorer in history. I'd say it was a combination of Pep's stubbornness to not work with him and the club balking once again at high wages (even though he'd have been worth whatever we threw at him). I can't believe it was a finances issue because we reportedly had 100m for Kane gathering dust in our coffers.I don't believe he would ever have signed for us. His heart wasn't in it and the rags would have moved heaven and earth to prevent it, which they did.
