Chelsea finish 2nd means the draw will be slightly harder for us but much harder for them. The can only draw Besiktas, Barcelona or PSG (assuming the scouse top their group).

Possibility that they get knocked out early and have more chance to focus on the league. Although we'd only have ourselves to blame if we lost 11 points (pretty much 12 with goal difference) to them from this position.
We probably want our title rivals to get through to the quarters/semi's before getting knocked out, easier draws for us in the champions league and makes their title push harder.

We finished 2 nd last year and thought got the easiest draw with Monaco or so we thought anyway.As if.
