Ive no dog in the fight with the real/atletico debacle, i couldnt care less.

But i have seen multiple angles of the ‘double kick’ and see no evidence whatsoever of him kicking it twice. None.

I get the feeling if it had happened against liverpool, bayern, barca, any of the european royalty it would have also been chalked off. Anyone else, no chance

Does anyone know how the race for the extra 2 CL spots is going? Does our chances look a lot worse if both arsenal and villa go out next round?

No it's virtually done. England top, Spain 2nd, Italy 3rd and Germany miles back in 4th. Top 2 get an extra spot. Spain could overhaul England but Italy only has Inter left in the CL (more points awarded for CL wins vs Europa and Conference). They play Bayern and in theory if they won the CL they could get Italy into the top 2 but that would definitively ruin Germany's chances. Still unlikely as they'd need an Italian side to win the Europa and the Conference but that then kills off Spain's chances as well as Germany's.

We could get 6 CL spots if the Rags or Sp*rs win the Europa BTW.
