I think tonight has shown that neither Liverpool or Arsenal will get past the last 16.

Chelsea probably best placed out of English clubs with the easy group they have been given.

Liverpool were very lucky, but they got the three points. They just lack top class players. If you don't attack them and allow them to hit you on the counter they don't have much to offer at the minute. I guess that will change a bit when the new signings settle in.

They have strengthened the wrong areas.

What areas do you think they should have strengthened. The only area they did not strengthen is midfield and the keeper. They bought full backs, wingers, strikers, attacking mids and a centre back. I question the quality of the signings.

LOL. It's funny seeing them try to raise the profile of Ludgrets. I think both Arsenal and Liverpool will qualify for the second round, but barring an amazing luck draw that's as far as both teams will go. They will probably both fight each other for top 4 and giving Wenger's record and Arsenal's superior team I expect them to win that battle.
