They wouldn't have collated all the squads and put them on the website this early, the deadline was only midnight.

Also Nastasic is on that squad, so it's clearly not the updated one.

Yes, but it says tournament squad phase 2 on top...

Hmmm right. Didn't see that one...

Re: Champions League Squad

I personally think it'll be Kolarov who gets the axe, he's played 93 mins in three games, one of them was the full 90 mins in Moscow,

we can cover that position if needed with some tinkering and I can see us needing the 4 strikers, each of them beings something different to the table,

if it is Kolarov that gets the cut then I think we'll see a bit more of him in the PL to balance out and rest Gael before / CL games (after we beat Barca that is)

Great spot, but I can't see how Nastasic would be included when he's away on loan. Same with Shay Facey. Looking at the squad, I can't make my mind up who's likely to miss out. Most people are suggesting Dzeko or Jovetic, but Pellegrini is so attacking, I just can't see it. Particularly Dzeko, he's a rather sensitive soul and if he's dropped from the CL squad I think you might as well write his season off.

If I had to pick, I'd probably drop Sagna or Lampard. Clichy can cover at right back, as could Milner in an emergency. Mangala can cover at left back also if both Zabba and Kolarov were out.

Lampard is probably not going to start any games, but gives us something different off the bench. Maybe that's a luxury we can manage without? Not sure, but whoever misses out is not going to be too pleased.

You can't drop Lampard as he fills one of the homegrown quota. Hart, Milner, Clichy, Lampard are the homegrown with Boyata fulfilling the club-trained quota.

Gotta be Caballero for me. Maybe Manny gives Caballero a couple league starts the weekend before the CL games to placate his omission from the squad and to rest Hart.

So we get to the Champions League final, Joe Hart picks up a strain during the pre-match warm-up and you'd have Richard Wright to play in his place?
