They wouldn't have collated all the squads and put them on the website this early, the deadline was only midnight.

Yes, but it says tournament squad phase 2 on top...

Great spot, but I can't see how Nastasic would be included when he's away on loan. Same with Shay Facey. Looking at the squad, I can't make my mind up who's likely to miss out. Most people are suggesting Dzeko or Jovetic, but Pellegrini is so attacking, I just can't see it. Particularly Dzeko, he's a rather sensitive soul and if he's dropped from the CL squad I think you might as well write his season off.

If I had to pick, I'd probably drop Sagna or Lampard. Clichy can cover at right back, as could Milner in an emergency. Mangala can cover at left back also if both Zabba and Kolarov were out.

Lampard is probably not going to start any games, but gives us something different off the bench. Maybe that's a luxury we can manage without? Not sure, but whoever misses out is not going to be too pleased.
Not sure if either of you are serious...

..but that's a note number, not a phase number. Look down at the bottom of the page:

2 All-time:This contains appearances and goals from the group stage onwards.

When do we have to declare our CL squad?

11pm.
According to the OS http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/What-the...hat-the-media-says-about-MCFC-4-February-2015 the Daily Star (sorry, I'm not including a link to poor quality toilet paper) are reporting that Caballero could be left out, what're your feelings on this aguero93:20?

Dzeko, plus fellow striker Stevan Jovetic, Bacary Sagna and Willy Caballero are the four main candidates for the chop.

City’s home-grown talent Joe Hart, James Milner, Frank Lampard or Gael Clichy will not be considered along with club-trained Belgium defender Dedryck Boyata.

Or he could gamble by leaving out Hart’s deputy Caballero out and put his trust in third-choice Richard Wright.

I have been told it will be Jovetic

I am not sure whether you are itk, but if it is Jovetic then that makes sense to me.

With the addition of Bony, and the imminent return of Yaya and Nasri, our attacking capabilities will be very powerful. For those that are advocating not including Bony, that is utter madness. We will need his strength and aerial prowess against Barca. Also it looks to me like Kun is feeling a bit isolated up front so Bony will be the Beast 2.0. I would also include Kolarov. He can score the odd freakish goal and his crossing is second to none, so he gets a berth as far as I am concerned. Big Ed is also a must. He has always risen to the occasion and helped us win the title in those vital last few games of last season.

So by process of elimination I think it has to be Jovetic.

Re: Champions League Squad

Chelsea have announced there changes but nothing significant for them. It does mean that the lists have gone in and therefore City must have taken the decision. Presumably the player(s) concerned will have been told by now so this news must break pretty soon.

Re: Champions League Squad

Were the restrictions put in place for the whole of this seasons champions league or just the group stages?

Wouldn't surprise me if it was just the groups and we'd negotiated with uefa to be able to name a full squad for the later stages.

Re: Champions League Squad

I wonder what the effect will be on the chosen one on their attitude etc. in the Prem when they play, which will be a given based on our injuries this season?
