Changing ISP

Changing my ISP from Virgin to BT tomorrow, was just wondering what will happen to my current @virgin.net e-mail accounts. Will they stay active or instantly be deleted? Cheers.

Not really sure ...... but when i changed from BT to Tiscali my email address with BT ceased to exisit anymore as from then on i had a new one with Tiscali , so i consequently lost any BT emails that i'd once had...... so maybe you'll lose em' too!

NTL used to keep email accounts open (receive only obviously), not sure about Virgin. If you download you mail through a pop client (like outlook express etc) rather than viewing them as webmail then you should lose nothing even if they do close the account.

Buy your own domain (e.g. yourname.co.uk) then you can set it up so that whoever your isp is your e-mail is directed there.
