Charity Shield - Post Match Thread

You cannot question Jorginho or infact Chelsea on one match i Thought Mahrez was a little off the pace but fully aware in a 3-4 games he will be gel into the quality player we know he is
I've watched him quite a bit tail end of last season and during Chelsea's pre season . He's tidy but in a Carrick type of way. Lovely when he can see the picture before him and his team are dominating possession. Shite when having to go the other way. I see him in a midfield three with Kanye or one of the other two DMS at Chelsea sitting in with him. But I would be astonished if we ever see him taking up the Kante position, it's simply not his game.

Brilliant day.
I had a brilliant view first row third tier. £25.
A great view of a fight behind the goals Sergio scored his second.
Add on the first time we have won the charity shield at Wembley and a great performance as well.

Ps your right about mahrez though still bedding in but he showed a lot of promise.

Bernard and Laporte were the stand out performers for me, if Laporte carries on like this with the motivation on missing out with the French squad he could have a cracking season with us this year
Thought Stonesy was better than Laporte today personally.

Bernardo ran the first half when in the middle, very encouraging for future Merlin replacement.

Dinho was magnificent too.

I will finish today with well done Sergio, no team will get near us this year. Won a few quid on the match as I hope you all did. It's a good job I'm not touchy as a lesser mortal would have been turned red with some of the replies. Good luck to you all, honestly imI blue

I suspect you are finishing the day for one of two reasons:

1. You need to concentrate on Friday now
2. The Mods were going to finish it for you

Stones still had that one crazy pass to the opposition though.
Laporte was superb.A full pre season training would have done wonders for him.
Same with Bernardo.

It’s all they’ve got.
Taunts about money , taunts about crowd sizes - you won’t hear too many taunts about the football!

funny how its in there back garden wembley london and empty seat everywhere in the chelsea end if we played at OT old trafford city would sell out there end easy

Picking of where we left of. Brilliant performance. Really excited about Mahrez. Good Debut. Fooden and Diaz played well. Good times ahead

on that showing its going to take something special to stop us

Bernardo easily man of the match, his skill and desire on a different level, well played phil foden, this kid is special

As for chelsea. They seem a little fucked. They don't have a forward, they have no depth, full backs with no pace, centre backs who on the face of it struggled to move from a deep block from last season to a high line. And thete star player has suggested he would like to move. My view on Chelsea isnt just based over the course of the last 90 mins. It's on the basis that issues they had last season are still apparent with little to suggest that there on the way to being resolved.

It was embarrassingly easy today. Don’t give a fuck about Chelsea new system etc, we fucking murdered them and they were extremely lucky to not be on the end of a right fucking hiding.

we looked so controlled and easy on the eye and you got bored watching at times ??? and i truly believe if manchester city players wanted to hurt chelsea we could have scored a double number without breaking into sweat, and welcome to the premier league Jorginho you may have just dropped the biggest bollock in the world turning down pep and manchester city for money reasons hahaha and a young lad called phil foden took the piss and your loss is his gain
