Well this is interesting. After their disastrous ownership by Roland Duchatelet, the club has been soild to a group called East Street Investments. Although not explicitly stated, the new owner appears to be Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, a man with extensive business interests in his native Abu Dhabi.

Now why is that Al Nahyan name familiar? I'm sure it rings a bell somewhere.

I was reading it earlier, it must be good news for Charlton Athletic, who have a decent fan base, and good potential, I was a bit surprised that nobody in the media had yet made the connection.
