We managed to get discounted room at Travelodge in London a couple of weeks ago. Nice room too, 30 quid per night cheaper than normal. They offer discounted rooms during the kids summer holidays, from as low as 19 quid a night.

You have to be quick off the mark to get the really good discounts though. But it's well worth it.
