Chelsea(A) - Post Match Thread

Have tears in my eyes. Don't think I have ever seen an away performance at a top team like that from us before. Fraudiola? .. fuck off.

The keeper signing has been the biggest one for me. He is so impressive and calm. An excellent addition
I would agree. In terms of the confidence at the back, this is a huge change. He always picks the right pass, and if there isn't a clear pass out, he has the confidence to punt it up to another city player 60 or 70 yards up the field. An immense contribution to the team.

Anything more satisfying than seeing Ederson ping a 92nd minute freekick straight to the feet of Jesus? Ridiculous accuracy and power, makes such a difference having a keeper like him

Mom is pep. To go to chelsea and completely boss the game is Very hard. And How much smarter are we defensively? I dont know who is working the offside trap, but it worked really well. Last year there was always sonebody out of sync, but not anymore. At least not today

The most complete performance I think I've ever seen from City, every man on that pitch was worthy of a 9.5 or 10 including the subs.
To make the Champions look this bad at Stamford Bridge has put down a huge statement of intent.

We are frighteningly good and only going to get better.

To be fair . . . I think the players' confidence is very high already. We have a different look about us, from the candid photos of us clowning in training, to the intensity and celebrations on the pitch, and have since pre-season. It's more focused, more energetic, but at the same time more relaxed and confident.

So in other words . . . more like Pep.

Couldn't agree more.

I think I have just seen the Champions elect beat the current Champions by being fitter, faster, better, hungrier.

Any Stones disbelievers must now be questioning themselves. From the first minute, I saw a player win the ball in our midfield & then advance forward, beat 2 Chelsea players, play a ball to Sane, get it back & lay it off to Fernandinho & I thought who the fuck was that. When I saw it was Stone, I just thought WTF!

I dare not believe he's developed into the player I've seen over the last month, but even after repeatedly blinking & rubbing my eyes, it's still Stones on the ball! Lol :-)

Guardiola saw something in him and it's now becoming obvious what. Stones totally bossed the defence, but a special mention has to go out to Fernandinho. What are we going to do about bringing in someone who can do what he does, so he can get a rest? He's just such a special talent.

From back to front, we made Chelsea look ordinary today. Ederson give our defence a confidence that I've never seen us have before and as part of a two, Otamendi is proving to be imperious.

The only downside I have is that I bet Stones, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Ederson, Sane, D Silva, B Silva, KDB, Walker & Delph will get rinsed out by their respective national teams during the International break!

Why do we have to have one after a performance like this?
Agree abou Dinho, many thought he was past it after last season but this season he's been absolutely world class. Pep has the players he wants now and it's just beautiful to see the way we choke teams in to sumbmission.

And also.... I fucking love Kyle Walker. Alonso gave up even trying to take him on.. what a player.

Virtually every player on the very top of their game, from 1-11 (or whoever has the highest number)

Hugely impressive, scarily good
