Performances getting worse or facing better opposition ?It has to be said that we peaked during the 2nd leg vs BMG. After that performances have been getting worse.

I agree with all you say in the third paragraph.We can’t expect to beat a top class team like Chelsea when our front three, Sterling Jesus and Torres contribute nothing to the game. If suitable offers were to be received I would only retain the services of Torres for next season.
Hard to tell on tv whether Mendy should have covered their scorer’s run more effectively so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt there but his display generally was fucking awful. He seems unable to receive the ball in such a way that he can do anything other than pass back infield to the centre half. Invariably when he trys a forward or even a square pass we lose possession. He stymies our progress up the left flank. Zinch was sorely missed today.
Just one of those days, it’s unrealistic to assume that we can make 8 changes and still beat one of the top teams in Europe on current form but no blame to Pep, players needed a rest and he made the right call.
Win the league - that’s all that matters, anything else is a bonus.
The effort, or lack of it that Mendy showed when chasing back for their goal is disgraceful, he should be sprinting not ambling. Its piss poor. Either Ake or Zinchenko at LB from now on.
I do get the rotation thing but IMHO I think we have rotated the wrong players in recent games. Today was crying out for Stones to carry the ball out from the back and into midfield, whereas against Leeds we needed the running power and speed of Walker.

It was so blatant it was laughable... I’d love to know why the elbow on Raz wasn’t scrutinised in the box but ultimately we know why don’t we....Too quick to blow his whistle for any challenge on a Chelsea player today for me
