Isn’t working with youngsters supposed to be Poch’s strength?

It'd be easier to instil a new philosophy in younger players than with older ones, wouldn’t it?

Whatever the malaise is at Chelsea, it doesn’t seem to be coming from the manager. They’ve tried 4 since the start of last season.
There is a lot a contributing factors to the malaise at Chelsea. I mean we could go down the list.

I watched Chelsea last weekend and I couldn’t discern their pattern of play, and I think that is where Poch deserves some flack. That said they need to give him time because he is working with a young team and in reality who the heck else are they going to hire.

They need a coherent plan formulated around a director of football that understands how they want to play. Same as that lot over the road.

They also need a manager that can deliver that plan.

Nkunku might well lift them when he returns. They desperately need a finisher too.

Without Carney and Nkunku, Palmer and Enzo are the only players who can create through the middle. I don’t understand why he didn’t starting over Gallagher. Poch is forcing Enzo into basically playing off the striker when his best role is a big deeper. Drop Gallagher, move Enzo back and play Palmer in the 10.

Palmer is no where near good enough to be a starting and regular 10 for a team wanting to get into the CL.

People never give anyone enough time in football anymore. With the players Chelsea have there’s no reason why they can’t be title challengers next season, but it takes time for the manager to get them playing to their strengths and bringing that together as a team.

All they need to do is give Pochettino time to mould his squad and accept a few bad results while the whole squad is gelling. But of course one defeat seems to be called a disaster by the media these days and the likes of Sky start shit-stirring. The question is, after spending close to £1bn does Todd Boehly have the patience and understanding to give the manager time?
Yep, they could be challenging for the title against the likes of Sunderland, Rotherham, Sheff United, Norwich, etc.

Odd how their fall off a cliff has not been reported much in the media. Maybe nobody really cares about Chelsea.

Nothing in the press about 'Poch under pressure', or the Billions spent on their team as they are currently sitting in 14th.

5 points from 6 games is shocking.

Considering the amount they have spent it's odd. Especially when you recall how we were evaluated on a weekly basis by the media.

I think some of the journalists who are seemingly unwilling to criticise Cheslea were only recently telling us Pochettino was the best thing since sliced bread so may be it is a pride thing for them as they have been shown up to be clueless :)
