Sorry if already posted but coouldn't see it.

They should have done last summer. Keep the experienced players and use them as first choice and then let them teach the new arrivals.

Next season, I don't think they can rely on Lampard, Terry (to a degree), Drogba, Anelka, Ballack, Carvalho etc. as much.

Terry is a train wreck now, I bet Chelsea wish they hadn't given into him in the summer. As for spending big, I'm sure if the rags had gone out there would have been the same kind of headlines, it doesn't mean it won't happen but I doubt they will be the top spenders this summer.

We should give up on Torres then, you know he's gonna choose them over us

Why? Recent success apart, and it's only the Abramovich years, are they really any bigger/better a club than us?

No they're not, but he always likes to stick the boot in us, he did it when Sven tried to sign him, said we were a tin pot club and has slagged us off since Mansour took over

i say fuck torres anyway theres a lot better players around than him anyway, give me david villa or augero any day.

Using that logic we should never bother to even attempt signing him then, whether Chelsea are interested in him or not.

I think if we got in the top 4 ahead of Liverpool and showed signs of spending some serious £££ (fees as well as wages) in the summer, the likes of Torres would all of a sudden see Liverpool - City as a progressive move.

Can't see Torres having any strong feelings towards us whether good or bad to be honest.

If Chelsea get Torres you've got the 2010/2011 Premier League and European Champions. That is the difference he would make to them.

He's a fantastic player - when fit.

He's not significantly better than Anelka or Drogba for me, younger though which is an asset, but don't think he'd make that much difference other than giving them more options and less prone to injury or suspension crippling them.

Chelsea already have world class strikers though. His leaving would have more effect on the troubles at Liverpool than Chelsea's fortunes. IMO.

What does that mean? I don't get it?

I'd have Anelka back in a flash, loved the guy.

Torres to Chels

Nico to City

Wouldn't be the end of the world if that did happen to be honest.

Mind you, we have a little fella called Adebayor who, in my view, is more than capable of scoring goals and playing sexy football.

Tevez
Anelka
Bellamy
Johnson

Imagine being a defender and these four breaking on you at speed. Squeaky bum time!

Chelsea spending big?

What are we talking £20m/£50m/£100m or City-lite?

I bet the Sheikh is searching for change in his going out pants.
