just got back from today. Cheltenham & Gloucester blues are in they're 40th year anniversary, nice to see Pat Higgins and a few long serving members get a day out in Legends bar, and onto the stage in city square to be awarded a plaque.Quite a few have views on the way city treat fans nowadays, but... Nice touch by city and well deserved to everyone involved.

I've always said City now see ordinary fans as a nuisance but that's taking it a bit far. I assume you meant plaque?

Seriously that's great news. I remember being down at Stoke's Victoria Ground around 1977/1978. Walking up to the ground we heard this chant behind us of "Cheltenham & Gloucester we are here..." We got chatting to them and were amazed there were so many blues in that neck of the woods.

yes mate, I failed my 11+ ;)

It's a busy branch, there's a few from Manchester and moved away with work etc, but in general,Pickups are from Bristol all the way up the shite M6.
There's a lot of work that go into supporters branches, and like I said, city got a big thumbs up with this and the LGBT today,

Congrats! ...
For most of my life I thought my Dad and I were the only Blues in Cheltenham. Seen the odd City shirt, give a smile and a knowing wink but that was about it until 'The Lansdown' was taken over by a Manchester Blue. Now see the tide is slowly turning in our favour..... A few years ago, during Chelt Gold Cup week, in 'The Cellar' I posted that I had two rooms free for any Blues, hoping I was to meet local kindred sadly no takers. But as I said the tide is turning for Gods Own. Good to be Blue!

40 years - that is brilliant. Congratulations.

I hope you have Skip and Buzzer as members!

Haven't the that red bus around for a while?

So the plaque Pat picked up was for the Cheltenham and Gloucester LGBT section ?

I know James and have had him come with us on a few trips (Lansdown Landlord). It is strange that fellow Blues don't pick up on the Branch's existence, as we are at every game, usually with a coach and have been throughout the 40 years since we were formed. If you want to make contact just go on the City website to Supporter's Clubs as you are most welcome.

Every game the old bus is there home and away still! We do move the bus away from the coach park at half time and park up at The Townley from where we depart after the match on 'home' games though and still usually the first coach at the ground!!

Cheltenham Paco. Many thanks for your reply, and yes, I'll check out the Supporters Clubs.
