Mary ds have a designated area for children, not the best environment as you will probably know but at least u can get a pint and it's only acroos the rd from the ground, used to always take my young in' in there on match day n never did any harm.
Failing that why not try City square if the weather isn't too bad? Always stuff going on arnd there aswell, whatever you choose to do hope your little one enjoy his day and his first game, merry xmas!

Weather looks atrocious out there so I'd suggest Mary D's on Grey Mare Lane. (it's like a school playground in there anyway so your son will feel on the same intellectual level as the regulars)
During sunny days though I'd also suggest City Square as they tend to cater for the children more with face painters, cheesey music and the Mascots etc...

Mary Ds is the last place on earth I'd take a young blue. The Townley might be a better bet..or City Sq, they've got music and family entertainment as well as beers.
