I like Windows 8 - it's a simple system for technophobic Luddites like myself.
Why anyone would outlaw an operating programme is beyond me.

The official Xinhua news agency said the ban was to ensure computer security after Microsoft ended support for its Windows XP operating system, which was widely used in China.

Neither the government nor Xinhua elaborated on how the ban supported the use of energy-saving products, or how it ensured security.

Considering that the estimated 9 out of 10 users of XP have pirated copies in China I can see their logic.

They will have to go out and steal a whole country full of Windows 8's because those pesky boys at Microsoft have moved the goalposts.

I'm the same, im fucking hopeless, bought a Lumia 625 windows 8 phone on Sunday, i''m still trying to work out how to turn it on....only joking its nearly set up but i'm still fuckin useless

I don't see how people find Windows 8 unusable if they have a basic understanding of using a PC.

Granted straight out of the box it can be a bit of a nightmare but with 5 minutes of tweaking it can be made to look and feel like windows 7 or even XP but with the added benefits of apps through the metro screen.

Also partitioning your hard drive or running a VM could never be easier with the Windows 8 system.
