Eric Bana is fantastic in that.
I've never seen a cold hearted, murdering crim portrayed in a way that actually endeares you to the character.

On the DVD there's an extra called "Weekend at Chopper's" that is well worth a watch, interviews with the real Mark Read, shows just how how well Bana played him

Ive read bits of his book and enjoyed the movie, its wildly known that he is a Ned Kelley fanboy and it almost seems like he wants to be that sort of Criminal cult hero, which I suppose he is now but it just seems a bit desperate and sad to me.

He is funny though and if he wasnt a criminal come writer etc he could have had a career in comedy IMO.

The film is really good. It would be excellent if it was based on truth rather than the fantastical stories of a man who wants to be something other than just another man. Probably never know if it's truth or not.
