Chris Bailey article (The voice of reason)

real madrid (for one ) have spent hundreds of millions over recent years and apart from this season have guarenteed success at home and abroad - therefore this argument about not throwing money at something is flawed ? mark hughes is an average to decent manager = he stopped the rot as wales and blackburn manager and stabilised both teams , i do not think he is the man for the great leap forward - the chance to break the top 4 is there for the taking , 5 or 6 class players and a world class manager would do it no problem , hughes could do it in 3/4 years time but i personally have my doubts . speculate to accumulate : spend money means bigger gates , champions league revenue - increased tv and merchandise revenue - YOU DO THE MATH ! i for one am sick of treading water .

This taken from the MEN comments section sums up a larget portion of the negatives. They're moe bothered about being proven right than actualy seeing some success. That is just pathetic and sad and you don't deserve to be called a City fan.

Fastforward to December when we're still looking for an away win, out of both domestic trophies and Bailey will be writing articles saying a change is needed. Those of us described as foamers can see the writing on the wall and we'll take great delight in saying we told you so. You Hughes supporters are nearly as deluded as the average georgie fan. You'll be asking for Uwe Rosler to take over from Hughes next

The sooner these sort of fans f*Ck off and allow the rest of us to look forward to a brighter future the better.

There seems to have been an outbreak of REASONABLENESS in the media look at this one

Blimey could have been written by a City fan

Looks like it is a city fan, but what a great article. Sound and very well written. As he says, credit where credit is due. The top dogs aren't out to wreck football, and the press are bitter that there not, as they will have to do some proper reporting for once.

Fool! Who give you the right to say that, just because we dont agree with you on the manager, we dont deserve to be called city fans!

Its opinions mate!

Try debating and stop with the abuse.

Hang on a second, let's change Bailey's words into something that actually reflects the opinions of the majority of non-believers and see who comes out sounding a bit silly.

Those who believe that spending £100m should not result in losing more games, garnering less points, and finishing lower in the league than last season are, quite frankly, deluded.

No, Chris, it's you that's deluded.

Mark Hughes has the best record of any City manager in the premier league. Check the facts.

No, it's stupid.

How can we be out of both domestic cups in December?

Check out Hughes in the picture - he looks like John Major (talk about the grey man).

Ah, so we've actually done better than last year then! Cool. How could I have been mistaken?
