Christmas dinner preparations

This thread reminds me why I'm glad we've seen sense and go out to the pub for Christmas Dinner now. All the prep, the timing and making sure it's all done right, not to mention the mountain of washing up to do later, makes it all worth the while.
You fool keep the mystery of the hard work needed to create a Christmas dinner and everyone else volunteers to tackle the clearing up and washing up while you sit relaxing with a glass of red.

Anyone started their prep yet, I'm currently working on the gravy.

Nope. Am cooking for 5 and I am confident based on past performance I can do it on the day. Usually went round to in-laws but her Dad is poorly so at home this year. I usually do the turkey or turkey crown anyway plus things like roasted parsnips and stuff done in the oven so not daunted its just about being up early and planning............and having plenty of cheese as a cheese butty back up plan if I fuck up lol !!!
