Cirigliano?

We should be looking for players similar to Xabi Alonso and if Cirigano is that type of player then it is all good.

He isn't he is a Mascherano type, a committed number 5 with tackiling, graft and good and neat passing, he sprays it about at River plate but I doubt he will do so when he is playing with better players. If we wan't somebody like Xabi Alonso then we should look at players in Spain, Spanish players like Benat or the Argie Banega. If we got a young DM I would much prefer Fernando of Gremio as he seems to offer much more.If we were going fo a typical 5 or 6 type I would have a look at Fernando of Porto, 1 1/2 years on his contract experience of European football and good awareness of the game plus he is more athletic than Cirigliano, I could see him doing an understated job like Gilberto Silva.

While I have no doubt you probably believe you could beat him over 50 yards, I doubt he is far from the top of the Opta stats for City over 90 minutes, so fitness is not exactly a problem for him! Is, and has been for some time, one of our most consistent performers.

I have no doubt either mate the man is a real workhorse and covers plenty of ground but I am saying that his role doesn't demand him to be making box to box runs carrying the ball etc so he can easily stay in our team for years to come and I hope he does at least until Rodwell learns from him and steps in.
