With Spurs doing us over yet again it’s interesting to see if they are really our all time bogey team or just more of a recent thing.

The answer might surprise you. In fact we are their 5th ranked bogey team.

The table below shows, over all time, the actual result vs expected result in terms of rating points…the true definition of a bogey team since you should lose against better opposition and vice versa.

Before you click on the link (or jump down 4 posts) and scroll down to matchups for City see if you can guess who are our top 5 bogey teams (Weak against) and who are the 5 teams we are the bogey team for (Strong against). When I was little my Dad always used to say our bogey side was the team mentioned in third spot in the weak against list…so he wasn’t far wrong!

Edit: I should add that these are only League games…no cups.

Be honest how many did you get?

Spurs (all the cunting time)
Rags (at home)
Scousers (away)
Wigan (in cups)

In my experience and lifetime we always have a bogey over norwich and burnley

Wolves double bogey then? Doesn't bode well for the run in?
