Its interesting that there seems to be quite a bit of movement within the data science team. I'm sure that 'football is fixed' blog has made a number of not exactly complimentary comments about them in the past. Looks like they have a new leadership team and a bunch of new appointments. The guy sounds like he has a very impressive CV.
