I've also got "Manchester: The greatest City" which is a book i did enjoy even though it took me a few years to read it.

The best, bar none, for me is "Blue Moon - Down Amongst The Dead Men With Manchester City"
It's a blow by blow account of the 98-99 season. The Times had a weekly article about us that season and the book is all those articles, stitched together with brief news stories, plus lots of comments by the author Mark Hodgkinson.
At the end the book concludes with a chapter of comments by City fans (nicked from MCIVTA and featuring some Bluemoon regulars) about the Gillingham game.
It's a lovely, well-written book which takes you back there. It already seems to paint a picure of a club we used to be. And the ending is very emotional. I still reread it occasionally.
Highly recommended for the sentimental Blue (if it's still available)
