Hello, just wanted to pop back on and let you know that following the issues you and other supporters have endured, there will be a change of operator on the MC8 from the 2nd April. I hope this improves your experience going forward.

Thanks for all the effort you’ve put into this. Will let you know how it goes.
Do we still use the same link (& tracker) ie

Yes, everything will stay the same for you. We have had some issues with buses not tracking since the switch to Bee Network. However, we are trying to get the tracking put onto the Bee Network app as soon as possible which should be more reliable, I will update you all when this is up and running, but in the meantime any queries reach out on here or matchdaybus@tfgm.com

Great to see freedback taken seriously , thank you.
What expectation has been set on the new operator arriving xx minutes early for the first pick up?

We provide operators with the timetables prior to the fixtures and they are expected to follow these timetables. The timetables have been set to arrive 1 hour prior to kick off to provide a window of contingency, noting how variable congestion can be for the different kick off times. We are always analysing data from all fixtures and will make amendments to timetables if we feel it necessary.

If an operator arrives at stops to early or to late, TfGM can take appropriate action against the operator in line with our Contract Management Procedure. We will be monitoring this service along with all the others to ensure all supporters travelling on the matchday buses get the level of service they deserve.

I realise it is not your area but the situation with the shuttle buses back to town was a shambles yesterday. The stewards had no idea what they were doing. Many buses left with virtually no passengers leaving a long line of people. Perhaps you can pass it on to your contacts at the club. It is a total mess. Never seen such chaos at other stadiums,

I have been using the Bus 11x from Horwich for the last 4 games. For the return, the timetable shows the bus leaves 20 minutes after the final whistle and there were people on the bus waiting. The steward said its 25 minutes after and it was actually 30 mins when we left. So we really left 10 minutes late ..... how long do you expect them to wait?

I think maybe a bigger issue which probably leads to the queues is the buses are parked bumper to bumper and in no particular order so its not easy to spot your particular bus particularly as there are thousands of fans walking past them after the match. i have seen fans walking up and down Ashton Rd trying to find their bus number

It's a great service, kudos to the club for doing it.
It’s expensive and could do with coming down on price (£8 return when all Greater Manchester buses are £2 for any Single journey, is a lot), but for those living on the outskirts of the conurbation where the Etihad is hard to get to directly, it’s an excellent service.

It’s one of the few things the club have done for many years that is good for local fans around a matchday.

I am talking about the buses back to town. Nothing to do with the local routes.
