I think I have responded to you by email, if this wasn’t you I apologise. I will get back in touch with you soon, I am just waiting on contact details for the relevant person to speak to at Diamond.

Ah, Diamond. That would explain a lot.

Hello, I am really sorry you had a long journey home last night, roadworks can be really frustrating!

You will be happy to know that the Lane closure on Oldham Road will reopen on the 28th April so hopefully you have a smoother journey home next time.

When I checked the roadworks along the match day bus routes for last nights fixture, I didn't see anything for Broadway, I have just looked again and can just see scheduled works for this Friday, but still nothing for last night, I am sorry for this. It is possible that they were emergency works as usually the permits for emergency works come in after they have started which is frustrating as we can't prepare for them in advance.
Not your fault mate thanks for the response I think the service is excellent by the way just a bit cheaper next season please ;)

@matchdaybus Yes, fair play to your quick and honest replies. Working in customer service I can imagine you are just as annoyed this has happened to people. Hopefully you’ll get it sorted.

Quite mad though how the basics aren’t always being met for this.
All the bus driver has to do is turn up at each stop at a set time and smile. Simple.

Yet it seems times are wrong and then the drivers are being an arse about it. Shame.
Probably a utd fan

Thank you for this information, I will look into who was driving that night and speak to the operator. I am not 100% sure that would be possible, but I can certainly put the suggestion forward for you.
I know it sounds a bit needy but a bus with a toilet on the longer routes would be a bonus, the Macc bus MC8 can take best part of 2hrs going to
The Etihad for night games if traffic’s bad.

Some rail stations have 24/7 disabled toilets accessible via a radar key (Bramhall for instance according to National Rail). Possibly incorporate a stop at one on the longer routes?

Surely they have a first class area on that bus for you mate ;)
