I know what you mean however breaking the crossbars was after the match, after we had won...throwing flares into the pitch is dangerous in itself, doing it and holding the match up when we were chasing a win is frankly, beyond moronic...as others have pointed out. The sort of thick imbecile we can do without....(the fan, not you Fordyboy!)Harsh in my eyes, a 3 year ban and 1400 quid fine. Silly to do it ,so now go after the crossbar breakers, what punishment will they get?
It didn't disrupt us that much....disrupting the very clear momentum we had.
How the fuck do these arseholes get them in the ground, its a pyrotechnic for fuck sake.

It's about time something was done to ban the knobheads who manage to get them into the stadium, be it City or any other club.

I thought it was worse than that. I stopped going knowing I'd struggle going 4 hours without one, thinking it would be like harsher than that.I’ve no idea if it’s an official policy but I know three people who have been banned for smoking and they all got three games.
Cheers mate, although I do have several thick moments, lolI know what you mean however breaking the crossbars was after the match, after we had won...throwing flares into the pitch is dangerous in itself, doing it and holding the match up when we were chasing a win is frankly, beyond moronic...as others have pointed out. The club usually have two sniffer dogs outside the away entrances, who are trained to locate pyrotechnics. Not always 100% successful but I think most of the smoke bombs recently have been in the home sections. The cctv at City is second to none and they can zoom in on individuals immediately, so anybody letting off a smoke bomb or flare is running a big risk of getting caught. You are unlikely to be apprehended on the day of the game but more likely to be arrested at later games after the cctv has been checked. This is not really possible with away fans especially at European games. One sure way of not being caught is to not break the law by bringing a pyrotechnic into the ground in the first place.Exactly how did Basel and other European fans/Ultras get their flares into the Etihad on a regular basis during CL matches? And whilst they lit their flares, waved them, and created smoke during the game, why did the stewards, the police, and the club watch on and do nothing? One rule for European fans/Ultras, another rule for City fans inside the Etihad
