Exactly. It was something we might not have wanted to do but we couldn’t risk being left behind the big guns in EuropeDidn’t we ‘join’ the super league because we were in fear of being left behind?

We are competing in a European super league whichever way you look at it, that consists of 3 divisions containing 36 teams in each division it started last season and not a single disagreement from anyone. And no, I wouldn’t have gone to a single Super League game, even if it meant losing my Super League season ticket.(arf!)
I would have rather stood and protested outside the Etihad against the Super League like 1000’s of other City fans would have done.

Would we have all protested outside the ground if we'd qualified (in 2nd, 3rd or 4th place) for the Champions League 30 years ago when it stopped being champions only? If not, why not?
Good news, he doesn't need the crap of the ticket policeHe put his ticket on the exchange in midweek and it sold.
Hope the pin works well for you. The Ticket Stasi will have you on the chart now. Get well soonWas supposed to have his operation this week last I read.
I had a pin put in my foot last Thursday, didnt make the Leeds game but someone used my ticket.
Tried today before 3pm to put it on the exchange and website wont let me do it. So that's me with a strike on my name from the club
Absolute nonsense!I call bullshit on that. I know a fair few blues who have gone longer than I have who will walk away completely.
Yes the JCLs etc will disappear but you will see more of the true blues go to.
We'll be having crowds similar to what Leeds etc were getting in the lower divisions
To be fair that’s not who I mean by tourists (I know there’s a bit of a connotation to the word but anyone who actually wants to support City and watch the match is welcome by me).The thing though is that a lot of these 'tourist' fans live in the city and have fallen in love with the club itself .... they probably started watching city initially because we were winning trophies, but this club does still have a habit of 'growing on you' if you attend often enough!
The Asian fans for example can be extremely loyal to things they love, and you often see them in the City away support now, as well as the home games, so a lot of them they are clearly going the 'extra mile' to support the club ... I know a few of these asian fans myself because they live near me, they are 'City mad', they know all the players, they love Haaland, and they never miss a match ..... and socia media does indicate that City are extremely popular with plenty of fans all around the world these days.
I agree (certainly not referring to anyone local in my comment)Bit confused what local fans, tourists and "Asian" fans are, tbh. Surely people who live in Manchester and go to every game are local fans to all intents and purposes?
Yeah you’re right. Bit of a silly tongue in cheek comment but it does feel although we’ve gained so much we also lost a little bit of the spirit of the club in the processCareful what you wish for……
Misery loves companyWe know what the good things are that have happened on the pitch. Which the fans have constantly praised.
We're talking about bad things that have happened off the pitch, and more specifically how the directors have treated the (Legacy) fans.
Even you can't be happy with some of the bad things that have happened off the pitch, just because City have been successful on the pitch?
There have been loads of complaints about moving to 8 games and people dropping out of cup schemes due to it.We are competing in a European super league whichever way you look at it, that consists of 3 divisions containing 36 teams in each division it started last season and not a single disagreement from anyone.
Ironically my Dad and I were at this one having borrowed a couple of season tickets from a lad at work who could not go. Did a lot of keeping quiet in the home ends in the 90's with a Leeds post code and them and the Sheffield teams accepting of the accent. You knew the score though, keep it calm, head down, don't be a dick and if you get outed that's what you do, get out!I got spat at by home fans going into Elland Road as a 20 year old girl
We had the last laugh as we won …1995 I think, possibly a Gerry Creany header 0-1 win
