Football fans who went wild in the aisles at a corner shop were arrested - after their coach got stuck in a traffic jam.
Police were called when a bus full of Manchester City fans ransacked a newsagents after their team was beaten 1-0 in Sunderland.

They descended on Southwick News in Sunderland helping themselves to alcohol and magazines, before fleeing the store and making a getaway on their waiting bus.

Police were called to the scence, but all 36 supporters on the bus were arrested when the vehicle got stuck in traffic on nearby Wessington Way.

Four of the gang, all from Stockport and Manchester areas were handed fixed penalty notices for theft.

One was cautioned for shoplifting and another for possession of cocaine.

The remaining supporters were released without charge.

I know we lost but drink and drugs are not the answer, our time will come :)

Guilty ones should be banned from supporting City.

Did anyone see the scuffle over by the Metro car park, must have been about 15 mins after the game, prob about 6 city lads and 7/8 Sunderland lads, we were sat in the car in traffic and the ones fighting with the city lads had no colours on and came over the bridge towards the ground not away from it.

nobody should be banned form supporting city...wtf you say that for
