Football fans who went wild in the aisles at a corner shop were arrested - after their coach got stuck in a traffic jam.
Police were called when a bus full of Manchester City fans ransacked a newsagents after their team was beaten 1-0 in Sunderland.
They descended on Southwick News in Sunderland helping themselves to alcohol and magazines, before fleeing the store and making a getaway on their waiting bus.
Police were called to the scence, but all 36 supporters on the bus were arrested when the vehicle got stuck in traffic on nearby Wessington Way.
Four of the gang, all from Stockport and Manchester areas were handed fixed penalty notices for theft.
One was cautioned for shoplifting and another for possession of cocaine.
The remaining supporters were released without charge.
I know we lost but drink and drugs are not the answer, our time will come :)
