Guess it was Merseyside police doing the investigation:

It is understood that one of the vehicle’s occupants shouted an anti-City obscenity before squirting her with a harmful liquid, which police are trying to identify.

City, who are understood to have provided support to the victim, have been assured that their staff are not being maliciously targeted nor that the woman was attacked because she was wearing City colours. Police are also confident that the attack was not part of a campaign against City fans.

Of course she was targeted because of City FFS, they shouted anti City shite. If someone shouted racial slurs then did it we would rightly call it for what it is, we should here too. campaigns of hate end up with acts like this.

How is it that someone who gets attacked because of where they work isn’t maliciously targeted?

This is only Something that someone could think was okay because of the constant hatred and misinformation about our club, especially when it comes so regularly from places like the BBC.
