City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

I do not think our owner has any intention to even consider selling. However, there maybe comes a point in his strategy where we (ie Man City) become self sufficient and new investment money comes from local profit not new investment cash from our owner.

Maybe all profits will be plowed back into strengthening our team continually tweaking FFP limits or maybe ADUG have to now fund their other CFG projects, after all we are part of a Group of Companies closely linked via a Holding Company.
If the former then we really are a massive threat to all rivals because they have owners who want dividends from cash cow profits whereas we will collect the best players each and every opportunity to buy.

I wonder how other clubs would sell to their supporters the unfairness of our owners gift to the Club compared with their owners need for financial return ?

I don't mind Mansour taking some profits out of the club at all. He's invested well enough to justify it and it doesn't particularly make sense for him not to. More so, because I don't think he'd take out so much money that it would be to the detriment of the team's performances.

We are already self sufficient and self funding.

There's absolutely no reason why he would though.

Not now perhaps. In a few years, if our revenues continue to grow at a similar rate then maybe. He'd be able to take out a fair whack whilst still leaving plenty in for City to be competitive. That said, that fair whack probably pales in comparison to his wealth and other ventures.

That is the crux of it for me.

I can't see Sheik Mansour taking anything out in dividends, because of this.

It would be better to re-invest, in either City or the CFG.

I agree, so will we continue to approach FFP limits each and every transfer window or will ADUG decide otherwise ?

I ask because the amount we have to spend potentially is a recurring post on this thread whereas I am suggesting ADUG may allocate only a proportion for that purpose.
