City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

The Nike deal has to be improved dramatically. 12m per year is a joke. Nike did very well to ties us down for years for so small amount.

Adidas paying United 75m with them having their worst kind of results since Ferguson retired. With hardly any CL performance from them recently.

Would expect 40-50m per year deal and hopewe change from Nike too. If we sign a contract for 5-6 years again for 20m per year we are fools.

Or they pay Messi's wages, in total.

If they have done the Mbappe deal without first making sure UEFA can't move the goalposts & corruptly sanction them, then indeed, they are in grave danger.

But from the previous reports, it appeared that they have made absolutely sure of this being within the rules, before signing the deal. If UEFA then resort to corruption I imagine PSG will go absolutely ballistic with legal actions.

So I just can't see this being a problem at all. I don't believe they would do this if they thought there was any chance it could backfire.

If UEFA were able to sanction them, it would be draconian measures, they would throw the book at them. PSG know this & would be completely stupid to risk it.

For signing one player, however talented, it's not worth the gamble.
You would think so, think if it was me I'd have passed it through UEFA, same as we did with FIFA in the Garre case. Like you say though not expecting any problems for them.

I read reports that they were talking to UEFA, so presumably they have made sure they have proof, UEFA's interpretation of the rules, is the same as theirs.

Maybe but the argument that other clubs receive Middle Eastern cash does not blunt the argument that some clubs are inflating their own commercial income. You need another argument to knock that back. Man Utd have the largest sponsorship deals in English football. They do not come on this agenda because they are arranged on a commercial basis as presumably are the Abu Dhabu and Qatari deals with Spanish clubs
Fair point you make

Probably the first commercially viable bank loan RM have ever had though

I do think it's tight and they know it, that's why they were haggling over the wording of Mbappe's loan. That said I think as long as they can keep Mbappe deal off this years books they'll be fine.
Apparently they've already agreed with UEFA the treatment of the neymar and mbappe deals so it's likely that the investigation is just going through the motions to appease Barca. They're going to amortise the mbappe fee over 5 years starting this year. The suggestion is that the player sales they've made will ensure they comply this year but next year could be a problem without more sales and or a big increase in commercial revenue

There was talk that Nike pushed Neymar and Mbappe towards PSG as a Nike team. Off the top of my head can't think of PSG and Barcelona that are with Nike at the top European teams. That suggests to me either we have already binned Nike, or alternatively if Nike worked against us with Mbappe we will do.
But we won't get anything near £75 mill, not sure about £40 - £50 mill, but £20 mill seems too low.

Makes sense it's just for show. thought they would have checked, but couldn't see why UEFA would investigate if they had.

UEFA and the so called "elite" are afraid of these two clubs, PSG have stopped being respectful towards the ones that spit on them, bankrupt clubs giving lesson on how to spend money is a big joke, PSG have 0€ debt if unlimited money is a problem for UEFA create a salary cap, FFP is illegal.

The smell arising from what PSG are doing is noxious.

However it is probably just about acceptable for FFP & someone ITK associated with them has given it the go ahead.

Quite what they hope to achieve is a really different matter. Of course they will win their league every year & by a distance thereby giving their stars a chance to rest ready for the real target. The chumps league.

Sadly, it appears no one has let them in on the not so secret fact that EUFA run the competition. As the FA run the PL. They will always certainly qualify & then quelle surprise get 2 stinkers & Celtic as 4th in the group. If they qualify in the K/O stage they will come across the EUFA version of say & pick a name Madley, Mariner or Oliver who will mysterially disallow four PSG goals & give the opposition two non penalties.

We all know this happens.

This is exactly why PSG stopped being respectful to FFP, we all knew that historic clubs were favorite by UEFA but the 6-1 vs Barça with so many ref decisions against PSG have made their owners stop chilling, there is an interview of Yerima Teni an associate of Nasser Al Khelafi and owners explaining this (in french): http://parisunited.net/2017/08/30/i...ir-qui-en-est-supporter-depuis-son-jeune-age/
