I think we are all being played, it smacks of Uefa and City being in bed over this all along?

All window dressing, keeps the G14 from turning on Uefa, plastic enough sanctions for City to more than work around them.

City's warning to UEFA, and what amounts to the ECA and the G14 to play fair is significant.

As City move into very profitable times we could easily become the ones who challenge other clubs who fail FFP.

Also, as I talked of ages ago on this thread City have agreed to keep things simple for UEFA to run the FFP regs more easily. I talked about City changing the way football clubs work and FFP having to keep up, well it seems that City have taken one on the chin to allow UEFA to develop things within FFP to match the new reality.

I think that you are both correct.

ADUG will be chuckling away to themselves today. The club have expressed just enough of an objection to be noted but then have allowed themselves enough wiggle room to play the martyr and go along with it [with a deep sigh of resignation].

It's media that have been played and not us!

As Marvin said [and I mentioned before most of you were up in the UK], it'll all be tomorrow's chip paper soon enough.

So can we now get back to the usual nonsense of wild transfer speculation and made-up ITKs? Cheers!

Is the Chapter on FFP (an ever-present theme of Bluemoon for 2 years now) about to close?

I think so. I know it's still headline news, but by Monday it wont even be news

The only thing that could keep it going is if Arsenal kick off (but Wenger will go on his hols)

By the start of the World Cup Marvin, the Dzeko thread will rightly reclaim its number one spot.

Hurray! Enough of this tedious accountants' love-in. I am going to post on the Dzeko thread right now.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

(Long time lurker and new member here just putting a toe in the water....& no I'm not a fucking RAG !!!!!!)

Trying to follow this thread over the last weeks has been very difficult, and this whole FFP issue has been a distraction at the end of a wonderful season - but then again I sure that was always part of the UEFA's and cartel's plan. They don't like it up "em !

I understand why we've settled and especially given a legal challenge is already in train, but I can't help mixed feelings about the compromise. Such is the nature of compromise I suppose...neither side gets everything they want.

The really painful bit is I hate to see the good name of our wonderful club dragged through the shit. There is a potential for huge reputational damage here and I hope our Media/PR teams are on top of their game. The club has to get the truth out there clearly and quickly, get briefing and get influencing right now...the next few days will be interesting

In a couple of discussions I've had so far I flogged the word "compromise" to death as this is much better language for us to use than loaded words like fine, sanction, punishment, breach. A post on another thread brings forward "Cartel United" as a term for the anti-City brigade of Rags, Arse, Chavs and Dippers - throw in those bastards at Bayern as well. I like that and I'll use it.

The next phase of our enemies' plans to hurt us will be a vicious PR and anti-City media onslaught on our club and huge attempts to devalue and undermine what the team's achieved - in fact its already started. I'm convinced there is an informal agenda against City but we can deflect it and blunt it. Already you're seeing in the press pictures of the City picking up the trophy with big headlines about fines and sanctions etc this association is toxic. So a huge "Hearts and Minds" battle is coming about the reputation of our club and lets hope our friends out there step forward. As an earlier poster said, we'll have to grow thicker skins next season especially if we lose the imminent PR battle.

By the way, let's hope the Scudamore nonsense isn't a palace coup at the PL and we don't get more Cartel-inspired crap coming through the Premier League.

So as a fan, I'm sort of happy... but up for the fight to come ...lots of cheats, bought the league bollocks - my arse - as blues we wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Would it be appropriate for our owners to provide assistance for Dupont in his challenge of FFP?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

City's official statement says 10m Euro will be lost from it's share of income from UEFA for in 2013-14 & 10m Euro for 2014-15. Does anybody know if this equates to the £49m fine of which £32m is suspended as reported by the BBC ?. Thus £17m fine = 20m Euro lost in UEFA income ?

The City statement make no mention of a suspended fine.

Generally the fine is reported as £50m in the media. This seems more severe and bad publicity than the way it actually
is ?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What happens if we don't qualify for Champions League 2015-16 season?

These rulings seem to be under the assumption we are a shoe-in ;)

These second tier sponsorships are more with regards Aabar and Etisalat.

Etihad is primary one.

Re: City & FFP (continued)
