City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: I love FFP - Cartel United and Media Monkeys

I find the majority of these fans who come over to me and gloat about FFP have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, have no idea about the history of their owns clubs let alone my club and crucially have never been to old trafford, anfield or the emirates. Therefore I waste absolutely no time or effort on them, I let vinnie, zab, yaya, silva, edin, kun etc do the talking. :)

Tarquins, Rags and Bin dippers - supporters of closed shop ethics, picking off the small guys, corrupting power behind the scenes and relying on your media monkeys to jump around and make a lot of noise....

I have loved the tide turning on FFP as the general public and other football supporters wake up to the lie that is FFP. Take a bow Nial, Neville, Curtis and Samuel.

The spot light is slowly turning on the Cartel and their shady dealings behind the scenes. I love a good informed argument- one they cannot muster.

I have found myself referring to these clubs as Cartel United. Their fans seem to hate the phrase. It acknowledges they are dependent on each other for success. In a pub in Newcastle last night got into a big argument with a bunch of Liverpool and United fans and eventually joined by a Tarquinius. Oh you are Cartel supporter says I - come join the Cartel United team, the phrase stuck even with the toon supporters as they backed me to the hilt.

I am looking forward to my moral crusade continuing on holiday next week. Cartel United supporters sitting round the bar and pool pontificating. I love a good wind up. City swimming trunks - a bit to tight for comfort but necessary to get the Cartellians started. Mrs Hart of the matter cringing in the corner as they try and gang up on me but by doing so prove my point perfectly.....

I am learning to love FFP - bring it on and lets watch the media monkeys dance

Any ideas for a new Nike Cartel United shirt design - Photo Shops welcome.

Which bar were you in

I was quoting from what the MEN was reporting.

The MEN in their summary say •
The club has also agreed that revenues from the sale of image rights to related parties will not be included in future break-even calculations
but my reading of the club statement is that it's just transactions within the group that are excluded.
Transactions within the group are related party transactions by definition.

Some more good news - the withholding of prize money does not reduce our revenue, according to UEFA. We can still take credit for all revenues earned.
So for 2013/14 we had two IP sales

Sale of intellectual property to related parties (Note 28) 22,453
Sale of intellectual property to third parties 24,500

It's just the related party transaction that's to be excluded from future b/even calculations?

Chill mate. They haven't said they hold no value but that we won't include them in FUTURE break-even calculations. So that implies they haven't stopped us in this one (and they have no mechanism for doing that so it isn't surprising). But we don't have to include them as we're now only going to be judged on single year accounts for the next two years rather than on a rolling three-year aggregate basis. Which renders the 2011-12 & 2012-13 accounts utterly irrelevant and these were one-offs anyway.

It's like Stephen Hawking promising he won't enter the Olympic High or Long Jump.
So if, as you think, the revenue has been included, how have we failed?

So even though they would with hold £10 million of for example, £30 million CL prize money next season, for FFP purposes we still earn £30 million? Not £20m?

It was 2012/13 we put those through but yes you're right. Only those to group companies/related parties. But we won't be using these accounts again so it's not relevant.
