BOO HOO HOO IF YOU KEEP BEATING ME I'M GOING TO TAKE MY BALL IN ! .....................TOSSERS ONE AND ALL !

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

Uefa need to be reminded that threat of expulsion publicly by newspapers may effect our future sponsorship deals and season ticket sales in the ground extension. We have to be given a clear opinion one way or another by them and a solid decision very soon. If we are ok then they must say so. We can move much faster to becoming self sustainable.

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

The British Press make me laugh.

City Lose " You can't buy success"

City dominate the league "It's not fair, they've got more money than me, wah wah, wah "

Allowing clubs to challenge other clubs on whether they meet a myriad of financial rules that may or may not contravene EU law is borderline insanity. Club A challenges Club B, Club B is pissed and challenges Club C and so on. Every club will have a battalion of lawyers and accountants going through each others books and dragging each other to court to query everything from RM's alleged State AID, unfair TV practices in Spain, Liverpool's kit deal with Warrior and their links to John Henry and every single commercial deal ManU has done now and in the future. It won't even matter if every deal is kosher you just drag into court anyway and see if anything crawls out...

CL and Europa League placements will go to the teams with the deepest pockets and best legal teams. You will have CL matches being played with an asterix after every result '*subject to legal appeal'. As soon as one club fires that gun it will be a fucking arms war fought out in court. Its beyond stupid. Stupid is shaking its head at this level of stupidity.
100% correct bob, couldn't have put it better.

UEFA will only challenge a club that don't have the financial clout to fight them in court and bankrupt them. They know that.

Nail on the head been saying the same thing for a while now, the good news is it will take a few season and we really will become an established top team, we are part the way there, and when we are there the crap will stop

The last thing Uefa want is a breakaway competition, that's the end game.

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

I don't think the £50 million lose will be a problem with uefa as they can see we have been halfing our losses the past three years. I think the problem might be and I think the other clubs problem are these £20 + million payments coming in from the other companies eg the Australian franchise. But reading this new kit deal the rags are getting of £70 mil a year and currently us on £12 mil a year I think it's time we renegotiate our current kit deal

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

Has anyone thought that this new "plea bargaining "tool may be a way for uefa to plea with City rather than the other way round?
If we fail any part of FFP and uefa come under severe pressure from arse or scum, or any others who have forgotten their history, to apply bans on the club, and then we threaten them with years of drawn out expensive litigation, which will probably have an outcome extremely destructive to Uefa , they will surely want to negotiate .
They can then come out of behind closed doors negotiations with City , saying that compromise has been reached - no ban , but looking like they have actually done something to keep the whiners happy!

I'm not sure you understand FFP. This year's loss is added to last year's and that's the figure that's judged against FFP rules. The fact that the trend of our losses is decreasing significantly and we should be breaking even from this year on won't do us any harm though.

Petrusha has explained to those of us not versed in these things what the payments relate to and that this is common for a multi-national business. The other clubs can shout, scream, stamp their feet and leak stories as much as they want but our owners have done their homework and we are now over the worst.

I think you've failed to grasp that I was mocking your poor English. Those who choose to call others 'morons' should do so with a little more authority than you have displayed.

Guilty of nothing more than poor use of an iPad keyboard but your pedantic fervour is duly noted.

Ha ha - City - "ruining football since 2014"

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

Put it this way Ferran Sorriano and his team of experts are not behind the door in regards to FFP and the club has pulled off a masterstroke in complying with the regulations imo.

Undoubtedly, whomever finishes fifth this year will now be lodging an objection, if there are even the slimmest hopes of their climbing aboard the CL gravy train.
Imagine Levy or Henry taking exclusion quietly? Me neither.

If there's no grounds to object (ie UEFA don't sanction City), they'll be up on their hind legs whining to the press for whatever satisfaction that brings. The papers, particularly during silly season, will run their tale of gripe with all the bells and whistles attached.

Strap yourselves in for a turbulent summer, any road.

Worst case scenario? We're out of European football for a year at most.

It won't come to that, in my humble etc but, even if it did, we'd pillage the silverware on offer, domestically. So, not all bad news.

It won't come to that, though. These things have a habit of being decided in favour of the people with the most money to throw at the problem (legal fees, potential revenue for UEFA, attraction to TV audiences etc all add up, significantly).

We'll be okay, no matter how much they huff and puff.
Listen to thunder, as we say in my part of the world. Listen to thunder.

It's a bit of a come down from a quadruple to a treble though ;-)

Re: Sunday Press. "City may face Euro Expulsion"

This is a bollox story and the idea that there is a cabal of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool trying to do City down is make believe.

Frankly, how comes a shit story like this gets 30 odd pages of debate? The worlds gone mad.

Yeah, like there'd be a self-interested cabal without the rags involved !

It could be whoever finishes 4th should Chelsea, Arsenal or the rags win it but just think if we were to win it.
The Champions League winners NOT allowed to defend their title?
Can't see it, tbh.

That's a letter (assumimg its genuine) going back over a year lobbying for the preferred system and now largely irrelevant as the FFP rules are now in play.

If you comply by the rules, no problem. I can't believe City aren't smart enough to make sure they live within the rules. Again, I think it's a non story and I cannot see the clubs stated as being in some kind of conspiracy today against City. I mean, the idea Chelsea would be involved is a big joke.
