According to Eurosport, we are...sorry if already posted.

Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff says the club should accept a bid from Manchester City for Dani Alves rather than allow him to leave for nothing this year. "Barca are a sensational team with or without Alves," he says and compares the situation to that of Yaya Toure's.

City being interested in Alves is old news tbh and it would appear we're not planning on going back into the market in January so I suspect that whilst old Johan is giving us a little nod that Barca would consider a deal I'm not sure we'd move....at least not yet.

Don't think he should be on our priority list. What we need is a replacement for Silva and preferably someone with real pace.

no mancini plays with his full backs bombing forward, Kolarov is getting there but Boateng is crap, Zabaleta is good but not good enough going forward and richards isnt good enough either.

Alves should be top of our list, the best attacking full back in the world, gets forward and back in his position all game, his stamini is breathtaking.

For what Cruyff said, it seems like City's bid is already there so he could named the club like this.

Far too early to say Boateng is crap. FAR too early.

He has been sublime at Hamburg and also for Germany. He just needs some time to settle.

hes not a right back and never ever will be.

I'd have him, especially if the rumours about Micah are true. His pace when running with the ball is amazing, like an Aaron Lennon full back but can put a decent ball in.
