The Independent is reporting this...

"Tottenham were last night fearful that their £12m bid for the Wigan midfielder Wilson Palacios had been hijacked by Manchester City. The Spurs manager, Harry Redknapp, was told by Wigan that his club's original bid, which had been accepted, had been significantly trumped by another club, understood to be City."

flex those financial muscles city!

That would be fooking awesome. If we managed to get he & de Jong in the fold, VK drops into the back 4, making us immediately a stronger defensive unit.

(and it would piss the twitchy fucker off no end...)

I agree this is good news.

Shows that if a club lie WHU or BR take the piss we go elsewhere for a similar or better player.
