Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
Sadly not too much TV coverage back then, but I loved the City team that was in the UEFA Cup three years running.
There was the memorable game against AC Milan with Paul Power's fantastic goal. Game was postponed from the night before due to fog in Milan and played the following afternoon - City fans who went had to leave during the game to catch their flight back!
I was listening on my mini radio, at school.... with ear piece running up the blazer sleeve and my long hair over the ears concealing it.... when we went 2 up I cheered and promptly had the radio confiscated. I raced home on the bike for my mum to say it ended 2-2. I got the radio back on the Friday when I told the teacher it was my dad's and if I didnt bring it back he was coming in for it.

Great games against Juventus and AC at home, Standard Leige, FC Twente and Monchengladbach.
It was getting Juve and 'Gladbach in the Champions League that made me think of this thread.
Remember being gutted going out to Widzew Lodz on away goals too :(
Following defeat in Monchengladbach in 1979, it would be 24 years until City played in Europe again, when playing TNS in the first proper game at the new stadium in 2003

I started watching City live in 76 so these were real highlights for me, loved this team and thought this would be how would always be then came Big Mal & the clear out & the financial meltdown following our spending spree to replace the core of the squad.

Our maths teacher was and I believe still is a City season ticket holder and had the AC Milan game on the radio in class
Yes listened to it at work correct me if I'm wrong but I think that was the first time ac Milan ever dropped points at home in a European tie

I was also listening to the Milan game at work, in a chemistry lab at the Uni, just as well I didn't drop anything flammable when Power scored!

Went to all the home games in that sequence, European nights at Maine Rd were brilliant.

Did all those home games, you missed Valencia out of your list.

Milan away game on the radio at School, it was PE at game time so easy to listen.

Nicky Read I think made his debut v Gladbach as we had loads of injuries.....when its spring again, bollocks to Amsterdam sung with vigour in the Dutch game, how times change.

If there's one game from that era I wish I could have been at it was AC Milan at home. I bet the Kippax was rocking that night.

To think, our next competitive European game after Borussia Munchengladbach was Lockeren.*

Edit: if you don't include TNS! *
